Meghan Markle recently returned to our screens with the premiere of With Love, Meghan, on Netflix, and it's caught the attention of Iron Man actress Gwyneth Paltrow.

It comes after the pair's lifestyle brands have been compared, Gwyneth's Goop and Meghan's As Ever.

In 2024, the 43-year-old debuted her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard, but she made the whiplash decision earlier this year to rebrand it as 'As Ever'.

Meghan has used her new Netflix series as a launchpad for her brand, though the series faced a brutal reaction from critics and audiences alike upon its release.

The eight-part series also saw appearances from familiar faces such as Mindy Kaling and her Suits co-star, Abigail Spencer, who played Dana 'Scottie' Scott.

However, her neighbour Gwyneth was nowhere to be seen, despite the two's Montecito mansion's residing next to one another.

As it turns out, Gwyneth doesn't even know Meghan, but she wants to change that and hopes to become her friend.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Gwyneth admitted: "I don’t know Meghan and Harry."

She added: "I mean, I've met Meghan, who seems really lovely, but I don't know her at all.

"Maybe I'll try to get through their security detail and bring them a pie."

The actress said that when she notices the comparison between herself and other women, she wants to "stand up for them," explaining: "I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes."

That feeling may also stem from the fact Meghan has reportedly been left "devastated and hurt" by the reception of With Love, Meghan.

A source told RadarOnline: "She had truly believed that this show could catapult her to the same heights as Martha Stewart, offering a fresh start for her career and an image overhaul. Now, though, she's feeling entirely crushed, the humiliation still fresh.

"While she was prepared for a little negativity, the overwhelming backlash has left her reeling.

"To everyone watching, she might appear to be putting on a brave face, especially since her show made it to the top 10 for a few days."
