Lots of music acts have been announced for a major festival happening in Roundhay Park this summer.

The North Leeds Food Festival has announced the live music Line up for their ninth annual celebration this May. Those attending can look forward to an eclectic mix of soloists, duos, bands, and choirs, alongside two highly acclaimed tribute acts headlining each evening of the event.

Acts honouring Leeds heroes Kaiser Chiefs and UB40 will be headlining. The music will come in the shape of Kaiser Thiefs and The UB40 Experience. There’s lots of other acts lined up and both evenings of the festival will close with the entrancing sounds of Ibiza Sax.

The North Leeds Food Festival will take place in Roundhay Park on Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12. Festival-goers can indulge in a diverse range of live entertainment and family activities.

In partnership with Yorkshire Food Guide, guests can learn culinary secrets from the region’s top expert chefs. Alternatively, families can visit the Live Entertainers Stage for interactive magic shows, circus workshops, and other performing arts. Further attractions include comedy, interactive performances, a fun fair and inflatable land, and free children’s activities.

The renowned street food arena is making its highly anticipated return, reimagined to feature its largest display of global cuisines yet. Attendees can also explore the event’s artisan markets, previously host to hundreds of local traders, small businesses, and unique entrepreneurs. A range of independent bars will be available, alongside a full ale house serving draught lagers and IPAs.

Michael Johnston, event director, said: “We saw a record number of attendees in 2024, and we’re keen to show our appreciation with a lineup that’s testament to the diverse talent of Leeds. We’re setting the stage for the biggest North Leeds Food Festival yet.”

In continued support of mental health initiatives, the festival will partner with Leeds Mind to surpass the £127,000 previously raised for their cause.
