Former Pop Idol judge has switched up her blonde locks with a splash of colour

Escape to the Country star Nicki Chapman has shared a bold makeover with her fans.

The former Pop Idol judge, 58, has had pink hair extensions added to her blonde locks.

Nicki told fans she was having a 'slight refresh' before she unveiled the new look on Instagram.

She told fans she loved the 'extra body' the extensions gave to her fine hair, saying: "I love my hair, can you see the difference?

"I am so happy and I've gone for a little bit of blush at the same time.

"The transformation is enormous and it doesn't do any damage to my hair."

She captioned the video: "New blonde/blush extensions from @richardwardhair by the lovely Sonia.

"Sonia is brilliant at helping create hair volume/thickness magic. Been seeing her for years (I pay so not an ad) but just appreciate what she does."

Nicki's fans flooded her with praise over her new hairstyle.

One wrote: "Looking gorgeous Nicki and love your honesty . Hair looks lovely."

"Hair (and coat) are both gorgeous ," a second commented, while a third added: "Love hair and your gorgeous red coat, you wear it wel."

Another fan added: "Those extensions make the difference nicki… love the coat too."

The BBC TV presenter, who also hosts Wanted Down Under and the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, also currently presents every day on Magic Radio.
