Crystal Palace head coach Oliver Glasner will be without the help of Chris Richards for Wednesday's Premier League London derby with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
The USA centre-back was sent off for two bookable offences in Saturday's goalless draw with Bournemouth, a highly controversial decision given that Cherries duo Alex Scott and Tyler Adams avoided taking the walk of shame in similar circumstances.
Richards will serve his one-game punishment on Wednesday evening, taking his place on the sidelines alongside Chadi Riad and Cheick Doucoure, both of whom are out for the season with knee injuries.
With no other out-and-out centre-backs on his bench, Glasner sacrificed Eberechi Eze for Jefferson Lerma to shore up his defence after Richards's red card vs. Bournemouth, but the Palace boss could now turn to Nathaniel Clyne to join Maxence Lacroix and Marc Guehi in defence.
Lerma should still make the first XI, but the South American could be preferred to Adam Wharton in midfield instead, as Palace are still erring on the side of caution with the Englishman given his recent fitness concerns.
Further forward, Eze will no doubt get a shot at redemption after being hauled off prematurely against Bournemouth, but ex-Gunner Eddie Nketiah has little chance of displacing Jean-Philippe Mateta.
The Frenchman has already scored in three Premier League London derbies this season and could become just the fourth to score in four in a single campaign, after Andy Johnson (2004-05), Jordan Ayew (2019-20) and Christian Benteke (2020-21).
Crystal Palace possible starting lineup:
Henderson; Clyne, Lacroix, Guehi; Munoz, Lerma, Hughes, Mitchell; Eze, Sarr; Mateta
