Vogue Williams says TV show producers were 'straight on' after Brian McFadden split

Vogue Williams married former Westlife star Brian McFadden in 2012, but says she was left 'painfully embarrassed' when the pair split three years later

Vogue Williams opened up about how producers from the popular show Celebs Go Dating were quick to contact her following the end of her marriage to Brian McFadden.

The 39-year-old TV and radio presenter met the Westlife star in a Dublin nightclub back in 2011, and married in Florence, Italy, just one year later. The couple called it quits in 2015, finalising their divorce two years on.

Vogue, previously feeling "painfully embarrassed" by the breakup, has reevaluated her past relationship, calling it an "epic failure" but acknowledging it as a learning experience, reports Dublin Live.

She said: "I got married and divorced really young and I found that painfully embarrassing, because it was just like such an epic failure and it was so public. I thought, 'Oh god, this is painfully embarrassing' and now I look back and I'm like, do you know what, no it's not.

"It was a learning curve, but again, no one died, who cares? It's nice to be able to look back and have that feeling about even that situation, and I just can't imagine anything would embarrass me so much now."

During an episode of her podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me!, which she co-hosts with comedy legend Joanne McNally, Vogue disclosed that after her well-publicised separation, Celebs Go Dating reached out to her. The confession came as she encouraged Joanne to give the show a go herself, highlighting the hefty pay packet involved.

"They offer a lot of money," she mentioned, revealing that: "When my marriage broke up they were straight on."

Joanne chimed in with her own experience, humorously remarking: "I'm pretty sure they have slipped into the mails at one point. I'm pretty sure they were sniffing around.

"But no, that wouldn't be for me now. It would have to be Married at First Sight or nothing."

After her split from Brian, 45, Vogue began dating former Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews. The pair met when they were due to compete on The Jump on Channel 4.

Their relationship blossomed and Spencer popped the question in January 2018 when the pair went to watch the Lion King in London. They tied the knot in June 2018 at the 10,000-acre Glen Affric estate in Scotland, which is owned by Spencer's family.

The couple now share children Theodore, six, Gigi, four, and Otto, two, together. While Vogue has admitted she would have 'swiped past' Spencer on a dating app, she says the pair are "mad about each other".

She expressed: "And I always say this, Spencer is obviously gorgeous, but he wouldn't have been my type when we met. And I would have swiped past him on a dating app.

"And then we met, and we were mad about each other because we just loved each other's personalities. So, I think trying to meet somebody in real life, although it can be hard, can be a really amazing thing."
