Super Eagles defender Jamilu Collins and his Cardiff City side have been relegated from the English Championship following their 1-1 draw on Saturday, Soccernet.ng reports.
The last few weeks have been challenging for some Super Eagles stars, as while some are battling for championships, others are going down.
Joe Aribo, Paul Onuachu, and Wilfred Ndidi are some of the stars who have dropped, with Southampton and Leicester both getting relegated from the Premier League.

The latest player on that list is left-back Jamilu Collins. He has been plying his trade for Cardiff City since 2022 after leaving SC Paderborn.
But this season has been really bad for him. Collins, who has been struck with different injuries in the past year, has made just three appearances for Cardiff City this season.

The club has been battling with bad results, as Turkish coach Omer Riza was in charge for most of the campaign until he was let go last week, and they appointed Aaron Ramsey to take charge for the remainder of the campaign.
Collins was not in the matchday squad for the game against West Brom at the Cardiff City stadium. The game eventually ended goalless, taking Cardiff City’s points tally for the season to 44.
Still, it leaves them rooted to the bottom of the Championship. And with one game left, it is mathematically impossible for them to climb out of the relegation zone.

This relegation means that Cardiff City will be playing League One football for the first time in 22 years.
What’s next for Jamilu Collins?
Jamilu Collins’ time with Cardiff City seems to be coming to an end. He has not been in the matchday squad since December last year.
In an earlier report by Soccernet.ng, Cardiff City wanted to sell Collins in January, but he did not attract any bids. Nonetheless, he will officially be a free agent by the end of June, and he will look to get a new club.
