BBC Breakfast enters second day of disruption as presenters forced to address changes
The BBC's flagship morning show has been hit by disruption for a second day running
BBC Breakfast enthusiasts who tuned in today for their regular fix of the show were met with a significant scheduling reshuffle for the second day in a row.
This morning's programme (April 27) kicked off at the usual 6am slot on BBC One, but viewers had to channel-hop after just an hour to continue watching.
The news show was shifted to BBC Two to accommodate Match of the Day - but that's not the only thing throwing a spanner in the works of the typical BBC Sunday schedule.
At 8.30am, the broadcaster's coverage of the London Marathon kicks off, occupying a hefty slot from 8.30am to 2pm. Gabby Logan will be at the helm of the coverage of the race's 45th edition, with around 50,000 competitors expected to participate.

David Stancombe and Sergio Aguiar will be pounding the pavement to raise funds for charitable projects launched in memory of nine year old Alice Aguiar, seven year old Elsie Dot Stancombe and Bebe King, six. Bebe's parents will also be there to support the duo from the sidelines.
But it's not just BBC Breakfast that's been thrown into disarray today. The massive sporting event has caused a ripple effect on other shows as well.
Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg has also been shuffled over to BBC Two, with the show's host giving viewers a quick heads-up during a live link with the Breakfast team.
She assured her audience that she was "happy" to be on air via BBC Two. Yet, some spectators might not share the same sentiment regarding the channel switching they've been compelled to undertake, given this is the second consecutive day schedule disruptions have occurred.
Yesterday (April 26), BBC Breakfast aired at the usual time of 6am but concluded broadcasting shortly before 8:30am. Ordinarily, viewers have the pleasure of watching until 10am.
The schedule adjustment was due to the BBC's coverage of the Pope's funeral, with host Naga Munchetty informing those tuned in: "Early finish for Breakfast today. The time now is just coming up to half past 8 because next on BBC One there will be, of course, live coverage of the funeral of Pope Francis. That begins at nine o'clock."
BBC Breakfast airs every day from 6am on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
