Merseyside Police have issued new details about a man who died after being found outside Liverpool's Passport Office on Saturday. At around 4.35am on May 10, North West Ambulance Service reported a man was found on Old Hall Street in the city centre after suffering a medical episode.

He died a short time later in hospital. Despite enquiries being carried out the man has yet to be identified. In an update issued today, police described the man who died as white, 6ft tall, of large build, aged around late 20s to early 30s, with brown hair and a brown beard.

He was wearing a dark North Face T-shirt with diamond patterns, grey jogging pants, black jacket and dark Nike trainers.

Detective Inspector Mike Fletcher said: “Sadly the man died following a medical episode and his death is being treated as not suspicious.

“However, we are continuing with our enquiries to identify him so we can inform his next-of-kin of his death.

“If anyone thinks they know a man matching his description please contact us as a matter of urgency.”
