Everton heritage top ahead of Goodison Park exit

It's set to be an emotional season at Everton Football Club. The Toffees are preparing for their historic stadium move to the state-of-the-art arena at Bramley-Moore Dock and the men's team have now left Goodison Park forever.

Indeed, Everton have brought the curtain down on 133 years at the Grand Old Lady with victory over Southampton on May 18, with many tears shed as the Blues said goodbye.

To celebrate - and indeed say goodbye - to Goodison Park, the club have released a number of commemorative items for supporters to get their hands on.

The latest is a collector's edition of the new heritage top released by the club onto general sale this week. Described as follows: "The top features a classic polo cut and a collar with three-button placket. A richly detailed 3D EFC crest is embroidered on the chest and the back of the neck has a sewn-on Goodison Park patch with the years it played home to the club, 1892-2025.

"The Limited Boxed Edition of the top is a limited run of 2025 units and includes a host of other commemorative items to create the perfect collector's edition, or the ultimate gift for a die-hard Evertonian. The box contains not only the shirt but also a classic scarf with woven 'Goodison Park' text and the years it was the club's home, and a commemorative programme and set of stickers.

"Although Everton's future lies elsewhere, Goodison will forever remain a huge part of every fan's memories, so add this boxed set to your collection and remember your fondness for the ground every time you open it."

It's priced at £120 and available now.

And that's not all, also available is ParkLife, a a high quality, 312 page publication showcasing 133-years of Goodison history in pictures. Available here. Then there's Farewell to Goodison, celebrating 100 of the best moments at the Grand Old Lady, available to purchase now.

Supporters can even take home a part of the Goodison Park pitch, with the club selling actual pieces of the grass in commemorative framed pictures. Everton fans have taken to social media to share their reaction to the 'class' heritage top.

Writing on X, one fan said: "This is class."

Another said: "Ordered. I'm really thrilled with this. Cambridge blue is epic too. It's really nicely done."

Not everyone was impressed though, as this fan said: "Looks like a generic golf polo. Disappointing."

But this fan said: "It's excellent that, COYB."
