A daughter said she "just needs to know" where her mum is after she went missing four years ago. Carol Mighall, from Tranmere, was last seen on Monday, January 4 2021 on Rodney Street, Birkenhead.

On the day she disappeared, the 55-year-old was seen on CCTV in a convenience store on the corner of Rodney Street and Argyle Street South near the centre of Birkenhead. She bought a litre bottle of vodka and 20 cigarettes.

Carol then headed in the direction of Birkenhead Central train station, wearing a khaki coloured parka-style coat with grey fur on the hood, blue jeans and black and white speckled trainers. Her family and Merseyside Police are increasingly worried about her welfare.

Carol's daughter, Kaleigh Doyle, has issued a new appeal directly to her mum. She said: “Mum, wherever you are, please come home. We miss you loads and just need to know where you are. Love you to the moon and back.”

Carol is described as a white female, 5ft 4in tall, of slim build and with a pale complexion. She has brown shoulder length hair, often worn in a ponytail. She was also carrying a black handbag with a shoulder strap.

‌She has five children and nine grandchildren who have all been out looking for her since the day of her disappearance. Merseyside Police said extensive enquiries have been carried out and officers have received numerous reports since Carol was last seen, however there have been no confirmed sightings.

In a previous interview with the ECHO, Carol's daughter Kayleigh Doyle said: "We were like each other's shadows. We were always together and she was always with the kids. The kids miss her and all want her to come home."

She added: "The look on my kids faces every time they see a picture of her - it's the look of heartbreak. We miss her everyday.

"If she doesn't want to come home message one of us; it doesn't have to be a family member it could be a friend or it could be the police, so we've got a bit of peace of mind that she's out there and she's fine, she's just not ready to come home.

"No one is angry with her. No one is going to shout at her. We just want her to come home."

Carol is known to frequent Liverpool city centre, Birkenhead and may also have links to Chester. Anyone who has seen Carol or knows of her whereabouts is asked to DM @MerPolCC, ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook, or ring 101 with reference 21000039543.
