KILMARNOCK say Derek McInnes WON'T be in charge of the club for the last day clash with Hearts.
We told you at the weekend how the former Aberdeen boss was set to accept the chance to replace Neil Critchley at Hearts.
The Killie boss said this week that he was desperate to see out the season at the Rugby Park club.
But the picture at the club has changed drastically - with fans turning on McInnes during the 3-0 defeat to Motherwell at Fir Park last night.
And now Killie owner Billy Bowie has taken the decision to make a clean break now, BEFORE they take on Hearts on the final day of the season.
Instead, it will be Chris Burke and Craig Clark who take charge of team affairs - with the remainder of McInnes' coaching team of Paul Sheerin and Alan Archibald also both stepping out.

Burke's son Cole made his debut for the Rugby Park men last night - with Bowie's own son Euan also part of the Under-18 ranks at the club.
Killie said in a statement: "It has been agreed between our Board of Directors, Derek McInnes and his staff that the best approach would be if they were not in charge for the final match of the season.
"Paul Sheerin and Alan Archibald will also not be involved – first team preparation and matchday duties will be undertaken by Chris Burke and Craig Clark.
"We look forward to seeing the blue and white army out in force this weekend as we give the players the send off they deserve."

No 2 Sheerin is one man who reckons McInnes 'deserved better' than to be berated for his move to Hearts.
His assistant Sheerin insisted the venting from the visiting end was 'disappointing' and added: "Fans will be fans, it's sometimes expected.
"He deserves better, but that's easy for me to say.
"He will be gutted by it because he's given his all to the club."
Sheerin added: "It's business as usual. He's our manager, he'd want to be front and centre.
"He's dealt with this business well in what is a horrible situation. The fixtures have not been kind.
"He's always stated he wanted to finish as strong as we could.
"Killie were fourth in the Championship when he came in. He's created a better environment for everyone here.
"If he is to leave and it goes through, he can be proud of his efforts.
