Aston Villa have high hopes for the 2025-26 season and they are keen to build on a campaign in which they competed in the Champions League after more than 40 years away from Europe's top competition.

Unai Emery’s side impressed as they progressed to the quarter-finals before suffering a 5-4 defeat on aggregate to eventual champions Paris Saint-Germain.

The Villans, who also reached the FA Cup semi-finals, are now preparing for a season in the Europa League after finishing sixth in the Premier League table, narrowly missing out on a top-five finish via goal difference.
