Season four of Clarkson’s Farm wrapped up recently with fans keen to know if the show would be coming back.

The most recent outing saw Jeremy Clarkson’s disastrous attempts to open a pub while running Diddly Squat Farm, with typically chaotic results.

There was also a new face on the farm in the form of Harriet Cowan, who was filling in for farm manager Kaleb Cooper while he was away on a one-man UK farming tour.

Added into the mix, season four featured what Jeremy described as the “most disturbing scene” ever witnessed on Clarkson’s Farm.

With the show now finishing, audiences are turning their attention to the future of the show - here’s everything we know about the next series.

Will there be a Clarkson’s Farm season 5?

Yes, is the short answer. Prime Video announced back on November 5, 2024 that Jeremy Clarkson and the Diddly Squat Farm team would be back again.

In a video, Jeremy told fans: “Over the years bright lights in the sky have been used to make many important announcements, the birth of the baby Jesus, for example.

“But tonight they’re being used to make an announcement that’s even bigger than that…”

Jeremy then pointed to the sky as a firework was set off in the shape of the number five.

He added: “Season five of Clarkson’s Farm is coming. Eat your heart out James Burke.”

Jeremy was referring to British presenter James Burke, who fronted BBC science programmes such as Tomorrow’s World and Connections, as well as being known as the voice of the BBC’s coverage of the 1969 Moon landing.

The announcement came even before season four had hit screens, showing the streamer’s confidence in Clarkson’s Farm.

One confused fan at the time posted under the Instagram video: “Did I miss 4?”, along with a crying with laughter emoji.

Jeremy was quick to respond under the comment: “We’ve just finished filming 4. That’s out next year.”

Season five doesn’t have a release date as yet because production is taking place on the new episodes right now.

Clarkson’s Farm premiere dates have varied in previous years and have been in June, February and May.

Both seasons three and four launched in May with episodes dropping over several weeks, with the forthcoming outing likely to follow its predecessors’ format given the show’s success.

There’s also expected to be a total of eight episodes in the new series like the other seasons.

What will happen in Clarkson’s Farm season 5?

Audiences can expect more of the same as Clarkson’s Farm charts the former Top Gear host’s high and lows of running Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire.

Among the drama is likely to be the impact of weather on crops, more, heartwarming and heartbreaking stories involving the animals being reared, as well as the pitfalls Jeremy and his team face.

Viewers will also see how Jeremy’s latest venture The Farmer’s Dog pub is progressing after season four charted the tough journey to making his vision become a reality, including staff walkouts, red tape and a dilapidated building.

When asked whether the fourth series would tackle the government’s changes to inheritance tax for farmers, Jeremy said: “That will be covered in season five!

“When season four was filmed Labour were still doing pensioners, they hadn't got round to farming.”

Back in March, Jeremy’s girlfriend and fellow Clarkson’s Farm star Lisa Hogan shared a video in which she said: “We're already thick into filming season five."

Lisa continued: "We were filming yesterday and going along in the tractor in a field by the hens and there is this little white blob on the road. Lo and behold it was a lamb. Just popped out right there and then, so cute.”

She added: "Here behind us you can sit, have a pint, look at the sheep and maybe watch a lamb being born."

Who is in the cast of Clarkson’s Farm season 5?

Given that both Jeremy and Lisa have confirmed they’re working on season five, it’s safe to say they’ll be back.

Others expected to be returning for more are farm manager Kaleb, agriculture consultant Charlie Ireland and construction specialist Gerald Cooper.

It’s not clear yet if Harriet will be making a return after she helped out in season four.

There are also likely to be some guest stars after Jeremy’s former The Grand Tour host Richard Hammond made an appearance.
