A Saturday Kitchen guest revealed a rather entertaining titbit about host Matt Tebbutt's laid-back attitude during the weekend's episode. The BBC cooking programme resumed on Saturday, with Matt Tebbutt resuming his role as the anchor.

Celebrity chefs Paul Ainsworth, Sam Evans and Shauna Guinn, along with special guest Sophie Ellis-Bextor joined him on the show. However, the atmosphere turned slightly uncomfortable when Matt told a guest to "park it there" following their frank reveal about the popular presenter.

As chef Paul Ainsworth whipped up a sumptuous meal for Matt and the visitors, the conversation led to Matt asking, "Is this on the menu in your restaurant Caffè Rojano?". Paul confirmed, "Yes we put this on the menu," which led Matt to compliment warmly: "It's a great restaurant.", reports the Mirror.

Wine connoisseur Olly then interjected: "I love it, me and my family we've gone there several times. Really informal setting, delicious food." Matt concurred, "Super relaxed."

To this, Olly humorously added, "Well in your case Matthew very relaxed. A little too relaxed perhaps..," resulting in a moment of silence in the studio.

Matt was back to host the show

Matt deflected saying, "Let's park that there!" but chef Paul playfully persisted, "Shall we go there? Shall we go there? !".

"Let's not," Matt responded, only for Paul to reveal, "I think the viewers need to know that you fell asleep in Caffè Rojano!" A good-natured Matt laughed it off with the rest of the guests, confessing, "It had been a long day."

This story comes hot on the heels of Matt's confessions about the challenges he faces working on live TV. Despite confessing his enjoyment of the weekly challenge on the BBC programme, Matt has acknowledged that the team encounters numerous obstacles in their efforts to ensure the long-standing show broadcasts seamlessly.

The 51 year old chef, who has been hosting the weekend morning food programme since 2017 after taking over from James Martin, confessed that the crew are "like family". They frequently face a multitude of challenges, necessitating extensive rehearsals, even though it may appear they "wing it" on occasion.
