All four sides in group two - Tyrone, Cavan, Donegal and Mayo - are on the same points and only separated by point difference, so today's third round encounters will determine which teams progress and which one is eliminated from the football championship.

It will take something special for Cavan to prevail after they were already comfortably beaten by Tyrone in the Ulster SFC quarter-finals.

The Bit O'Red came close to beating All-Ireland champs Armagh for a place in the provincial decider, then beat Donegal in the first round of the group stages only to fall to Mayo in their outing.

Cavan, meanwhile, bounced back from that defeat to Tyrone by beating Mayo away before losing at home to Donegal.

Verdict: Tyrone.
