A Sunday car boot sale has been announced to open next Sunday just outside Gloucester. The car boot is to be located in the grounds of a pub and restaurant in a field adjacent so bargain hunters can grab a drink and something to eat after a busy morning.
The Big Bonanza Car Boot Sale kicks off on June 22, and is being held at the Fromebridge Mill pub and restaurant, located aloig the A38 in Whitminster every Sunday. The car boot opens from 6am and runs to noon, weather permitting, and crowds of people are expected to arrive hoping to sell their unwanted goods, while others look to pick up a bargain or two..
Public entry is set at 50p per person, and children go free. The car boot is dog friendly, with plenty of customer parking, and toilets on site.
There are hot food and drinks available on site, and an ice cream van there on sunny days. and a bouncy castle for children for the little ones to enjoy. There is even a fruit and veg stall too.
The car boot sale is managed by Frank Tunbridge, 79, from Podsmead. Mr Tunbridge, best known as a big cat expert, said: "I have decided to re-open this car boot sale as many people have approached me at my current car boot sale site at Dursley, as at the time the Gloucester was not up and running.
"My Dursley which is open every Saturday from 7am, and people were requesting a Sunday morning car boot so I looked into it. as. This one at Fromebridge is only about 10 minutes or so away from Gloucester, and using the A38 main road, it is easy to reach from J13 of the M5 .
"Another reason to use this car boot is the Fromebridge Mill pub where you can have a Sunday roast meal after the it finishes at 1noon. We look forward to seeing you there."
