Emmerdale's Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) is set to cause panic when he goes missing next week and vanishes from the village.

In recent episodes of the ITV soap, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) has been worried about his dad Bear's recent behaviour, which appears to be escalating.

Bear's antics have included keeping Paddy and his wife Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) awake at night while he watches television at a high volume. He also left his sleeping tablets on the kitchen table, and Eve got hold of them.

Luckily, the schoolgirl didn't swallow any of the medicine, but while Bear brushed the incident off, Paddy was left furious.

While Bear isn't being the easiest of houseguests, Paddy gifted his dad an old motorbike to fix up in an attempt to win him round.

In next week's Emmerdale, Paddy is soon left frustrated when the bike parts are strewn around their home.

In a desperate ploy to keep Bear from leaving junk around Tenant's Cottage, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) agrees to let him use the car garage for the restoration project, leaving Bear chuffed.

However, Bear's joy soon turns into anger when he flies off the handle while fixing the bike. As he reaches boiling point, Bear suddenly snaps at mechanic Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah).

He turns violent and grabs the young mechanic by the jacket, but thankfully, Paddy sees the incident unfold.

Later, Bear returns home and acts oblivious to the confrontation, leaving Paddy and Mandy shocked. The couple are soon questioning Bear about his outburst as they fear his behaviour is getting worse, but he heads upstairs.

Mandy persuades Paddy to confront his worries about his dad head-on, but Paddy is surprised to learn that Bear and his motorbike are missing. Where has Bear gone?

Actor Joshua Richards recently hinted at trouble for his soap character Bear owing to his erratic behaviour. Speaking at a press event, he said: "He alters somewhat, he’s not too good here (pointing to his head) for some reason which we don’t know why.

Emmerdale viewers think they've figured out Bear Wolf's upcoming devastating storyline
Emmerdale's Mandy and Paddy have been struggling living with Bear

"He’s being slightly erratic emotionally and with his mood swings. There’s periods of forgetfulness and the kind of things that happen with a man of his age."

He added: "There is a change there and there will be more of a stripped back Bear. Emotionally, he will be put through the ringer.

"So, I think there’s something big coming up for him which I’m really looking forward to. For anybody who is lucky enough to work on this wonderful thing, when you get a nice juicy storyline, it is so fulfilling."

Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV and ITVX
