The children of the Prince of Wales shared a touching Father’s Day message on social media, featuring a heartfelt three-word note. On Sunday (June 15), two new photos of Prince William with his three kids—George, 11, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, seven—were unveiled.
In the first image, the prince and his children are seen posing together for a family portrait in a garden. The second photo captures a playful moment where William is wrestling with the kids on the grass, with the two boys pinning their father down while Charlotte giggles.
In a post dedicated to their dad, the three children wrote: "Happy Father’s Day, Papa (before and after!)" In a sweet three-word message, they declared: "We love you!" The message was signed off with "G, C & L", followed by a sparkly heart emoji.
Kensington Palace announced that the photos were taken by professional photographer Josh Shinner in Norfolk earlier this year. The King and Queen have also wished fathers across the world a happy Father’s Day by sharing pictures of their own fathers on the Royal Family’s Instagram account.
"To all Dads everywhere, we wish you a happy Father’s Day today," the official account said. The post featured a picture of the late Prince Philip enjoying time on a swing with a young Charles and the Princess Royal.
A picture of Camilla and her father, Major Bruce Shand, was also shared. The pair posed for a photograph on Camilla and Charles’s wedding day, April 9, 2005.
It comes just a day after the King's birthday on June 14. The monarch celebrated his 76th milestone with an eco-friendly flypast by the Red Arrows during Trooping the Colour.
The Royal Family also remembered all those killed in the Air India plane disaster. While Trooping the Colour showcased military splendour and ceremony, King Charles requested that the traditional program incorporate a minute of silence, and that senior royals and participating officers don black armbands as a sign of respect.
A moment of reflection was held to honour the tragedy that happened on Thursday (June 12). The incident claimed the lives of 241 passengers and crew members, including over 50 British citizens, as well as approximately 30 people on the ground.
King Charles took the lead among the royal colonels, donning black armbands. The Prince of Wales, who is the Colonel of the Welsh Guards, the Princess Royal, Colonel of the Blues and Royals, and the Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel of the Scots Guards, all wore armbands on their left arms.
Meanwhile, the young royals brought joy to monarchy enthusiasts by making a public appearance. Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis were all seen riding in a carriage alongside their mother, Kate.
