A crash on the A466 Wye Valley Link road in Chepstow caused delays this afternoon (Sunday, June 15). The incident. believed to involve a vehicle fire, happened at the junction with the A48 at the Highbeech roundabout.
Many motorists were n stuck in long delays with some turning around. Traffic was at a standstill on the busy road, which links to the M48 Severn Bridge.
One person said on a Facebook traffic group: "They are turning people round at the roundabout and sending them down through and down trough Bulwark if they want to get on to the motorway."
Another said: "I'm on the Wye Valley bypass heading towards Chepstow. Moving very slowly. Nothing on other side on the road only bikes and the odd car."
