Chris Wilder’s Blades have enjoyed a winning habit for the majority of the campaign, with the Blades boss challenging his side to go and get one more big win at Bramall Lane this season.

The Blades hold a handy lead against Bristol City going into the play-off semi-final second leg in S2 but nothing from the first game has had an impact on Wilder’s mindset, he wants his side to go out and win again on Monday night.

He confirmed: “I was asked before about my approach to play-offs, and I said we would go there to win. We go into every game looking to win. Sometimes it doesn't happen, and you have to deal with that, but we have won quite a lot of times this season - something like 28 wins - and we want to win one last game at home and be consistent with that approach.

“All focus on Monday night, players have been outstanding, really proud to lead this group, it has been a tough year for everybody, but we have come through it.

“Nothing won yet, but we have had an outstanding season and there is another opportunity which is rightly given to us to gain promotion. We're incredibly determined to go and take that opportunity.”

Wilder believes the efforts from all concerned this season have put United back in a good place again, but now he’s determined to take the next step.

He added: “The attitude coming off the pitch on Thursday wasn't for show, that was to know that this is how it is, and that we still have a job to do.

“The club have given me some fabulous moments, and I'd like to think myself and the staff have played a part in trying to help the club back to where it wants to be of being an established, respected, proper football club. I think we have done that now and we want to make that next step.”
