The Durham City Council has approved a budget for the upcoming fiscal year that includes pay increases for Durham police officers, in an effort to address the department's vacancy's.
When Monica's concert in Baltimore was announced, Chris Weeks said someone reached out to Durham project manager Rukea Womack saying, 'Hey Monica is supposed to be in Baltimore, she's not coming to Durham. It's a scam."
"I think we're all interested in finding ways to allow Durham to grow in ways that are much more economically rich, environmentally sustainable and still with an eye to equity."
The park is due to be open all year round but won't be available for full-time residents. Around 167 jobs are due to be created, with the council hailing the impact it will have on the County Durham tourism economy
