After a brief respite from the glum weather this summer, heavy rain and thunder will return in full force next week with a yellow weather warning in place for tomorrow.
Residents in the Black Country and Staffordshire are being warned to prepare for another dark and wet day on Monday, after the Met Office issued a 16-hour weather warning.
The mercury is set to nudges upwards towards the end of July, but the Met Office says it's too soon to say if the UK will see temperatures as high as 40C
